Behind the Curtain
I use watercolor and resin for nearly all the prints in the shop, including this lovely ballerina. I incorporate a variety of other media in several of my paintings as well, including ink, acrylic, oil pastel, and gold/silver/copper leaf. I am passionate about finding materials with outstanding color and texture, it's part of the recipe for a great piece of art!
Watercolor is an amazing medium to work with, and Picasso was right when he said "every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." If you want to see amazing shapes take hold on a piece of paper with nothing more than water on it, grab some watercolor, watercolor paper and a paint brush and have at it. Childlike wonder will ensue, and the artist inside you will bloom.
Each piece of art takes a minimum of 5 days to create, most take over a month or more. It is a long and deliberative process, I want to make sure each print and original is perfect for you!
